Knollwood Community , Towson, MD

On October 10, The Pink and Blues Music Foundation Celebrates Breast Cancer Survivors with a free concert. I recently established the Pink and Blues Music Foundation to raise money for awareness and patient care at the Breast Cancer Centers at GBMC - Greater Baltimore Medical Center and University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center. To celebrate our launch and the lives of breast cancer survivors, we will be having another “A Walk Among The Music” event. WHERE: Knollwood Community WHEN: October 10 (400PM-600PM) I’m excited to be able to already announce that my good friend, and the hardest woman on the region’s soul music scene, Ginna Barilone will be headlining the event. We also are bringing back crowd favorite John Tyler and we are incredibly fortunate to debut an exciting new local vocalist ... Ms. Amber August. (My people tell me that she’s the next Anita Baker.) So watch for future updates regarding our next community based music festival. We have a lot of great people already stepping up to be part of this. And in the longer term, many have talked about developing the event into an annual “East Towson Jazz/Blues Festival To Fight Breast Cancer.” Knollwood will continue to deliver great music to the people. As always, our events will be defined by six words; No Kings. No Creeds. Just Music. David Riley President Knollwood Association
